Dpd Result Interpretation
Dpd values are reported as nM Dpd/ mM Creatinine. Creatinine is used to normalize urine samples for variations in
concentration.
Because estrogen deficiency increases the risk of postmenopausal bone loss, Aeron uses the premenopausal reference range as a "normal" for postmenopausal
women.
Dpd Reference Range for both men and women is 2.5 - 6.5 nM/mM
Cr.
If result is greater than 6.5, your patient is experiencing increased bone
resorption.
If result is less than 6.5, your patient is resorbing bone at the same rate as a healthy woman or man.
