Aeron’s New Improved Mailing System
San Leandro, CA, May 2002.
Aeron LifeCycles Clinical Laboratory introduced a new 2-way mailer to expedite
patient saliva and urine samples through the U.S. mail. Where other laboratories
require patients to locate and often pay additional fees for the return of their
samples, Aeron offers the convenience of dropping samples off at the patient’s
home mailbox for automatic return to their Laboratory.
Aeron LifeCycles Clinical Laboratory is pleased to announce a
significant change to the design and function of their laboratory mailer. The
RUSH/STAT two-way laboratory mailing envelope with its bright red exterior will
remind U.S. mailing personnel of the importance of the contents and help to
eliminate lost, miss-directed or delayed laboratory specimens. The new pouch
mailer has been tested and shown to be a more speedy and reliable transport
vehicle than the traditional cardboard mailing tube in use by Aeron since 1995.
Aeron’ new mailer utilizes a unique double seal allowing it
to be safely re-used to return samples to the laboratory. This 2-way design cuts
down expenses and eliminates the unnecessary waste of other mailing systems. By
continuing to be innovative, Aeron LifeCycles has been able to maintain the same
pricing schedule since 1997 while improving quality and service.
Saliva samples are collected at home and conveniently travel
through the US mail at room temperature. Hormone results are available to the
consumer and/or medical provider in five to seven days. Simple and painless
saliva collection eliminates the blood draw and permits the specimen to be
collected in the early morning when hormone results are most meaningful.
Aeron LifeCycles Clinical Laboratory is the largest
laboratory in the country with an exclusive focus on salivary testing services
for consumers and medical providers. Tests measuring the bio-available fraction
of estradiol, estrone, estriol, progesterone, testosterone, DHT, DHEA, cortisol,
melatonin, and urine deoxypyridinoline are routinely performed.
